We continue in 2nd Corinthians (chapter 9) with part 2 of "The Grace of Giving". Chapter 9 unveils the spiritual reality (what really takes place) when we give in alignment to the will of God. The passage provides direct, clear and powerful information showing that "giving" is really "investing" into the Kingdom of Heaven; making it the wisest, safest, most permanent and beneficial thing any of us can do with the wealth God has (temporarily) given us. The grace of giving can be received simply through faith in these very clear Words from God.

No words better describe the good news of the Gospel than giving or gift. The verse from John 3, "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son...", pretty much defines grace.

When that grace comes to us and works through us, it gives us the power to be incredibly generous, as well. But it doesn't end there, chapter 8 is the preamble to chapter 9, where we find that because of Jesus we actually never give anything away! Our gifts are investments in His Kingdom that pay huge dividends, in every form, both now on earth and eternally in the Kingdom of Heaven.

We often think about and lament the consequences of sin, disobedience and the rejection of Christ, his Word, and his servants, but in this message we will think about and celebrate the power and salvation experienced through obedience and agreement with Christ, his Word, and his servants.

Pastor Bryan preaches from Psalm 32 to show us how God brings Amazing Grace into our lives through the power of confession and through this, we can rejoice just as David did in the psalm.

In 2 Cor. 6, Paul implores the church to not take their Salvation for granted, to fully receive the message He is sending through Paul, and to take steps to set themselves apart entirely for the Lord. May the Holy Spirit use this message to get us unified (with Him and each other), set apart (consecrated), and anticipating His divine action to bless and use our Church in extraordinary ways...not just soon, but "Now."

As we dive into the passage (2 Corinthians 5:11-21), we will discover the essence of the Gospel ministry (reconciliation with God and then each other) and how that puts "The Meaning" back into our lives (good, loving relationships with God and each other). If this is indeed the meaning of life, how will you leverage your life for the sake of the Gospel?

Our Student Ministries Director, Gabe McGinness, encourages us through a devotional teaching of Psalm 139, reminding us that the Lord knows us deeply and personally and Calen and the worship team will lead us through an extended time of worship and praise. We will cover a few key moments from King David’s relationships & how, through faith, we can be men and women after God’s own heart, just as David was.

A special message on the eve of the Presidential Inauguration. Pastor Bryan teaches from from Psalm 72, David's prayer for his son, Solomon, and the government he would lead over all of Israel. From this prayer, we gain wisdom and understanding that will fuel our prayers for the new President and his Administration that begins this week.
