About this listen
The Zen Masters tell us to sit with no expectation, no goal, no clinging to an outcome. But if there is no reason to sit, then why do we?
The mind craves purpose, direction, justification. It wants to say, I sit because… But what if there is no because? No searching for peace, no waiting for stillness, no chasing insight—just sitting.
Not to become better, not to achieve anything. Just sitting the way the wind moves, the way the river flows. If we ask why sit?, maybe we do not need to. And yet, something in us still does.
Let’s explore what it means to sit without a reason. Not as an act of striving, but as simply being.
