About this listen

John Sweeney is trouble. He's taken on Vladimir Putin, challenged Donald Trump, and after months of uncovering hard truths in Ukraine, this old-school reporter is back. John is never silent about what he’s experienced. Sweeney talks, and in this podcast, so do his guests. John speaks to people like him, who are not prepared to be part of the silent majority. They have put their livelihoods and personal reputations on the line to challenge those who run our governments, lead our industries, control our finances and dictate the way we live. They refused to toe the line, and have found themselves in trouble. Big trouble. Activists, agitators, heroes… or villains. You decide. The journalist and author tells the story when it would have been so much more captivating had a professional actor read it. Second there are recording issues, some voices are hard to hear, throughout various secondary noises distract, the sound is uneven and finally regularly advertisements about whatever distract the listener in the middle of a paragraph! Also the author/reader mispronounced the name Ghislaine from beginning to end, which is absurd: he has researched the woman, the minimum was to learn how to pronounce her name! (There are 2 ways to pronounce the name in French and Maxwell pronounces it "the posh way," as do all the girls, Epstein, Prince Andrew, a *G* like in Google, not a *G* like in Jesus, the pronunciation where the "s" is pronounced. As to the journalist he opts for a soft G without pronouncing the S, a pronunciation that doesn't exist. All this, as if he had never listened to anyone speaking about Ms. Maxwell.) Again about the trip the trio took to Phuket, the journalist/reader means to be funny by saying "Fucket", to then correct himself after laughing at his lamentable joke by mispronouncing again the Thai city. That ought to be part of his job. The lack of accuracy ruins his work. The author also cannot resist to hint as to how we should react upon hearing some testimonies, which is again affecting the quality of its research: we are perfectly capable of pondering by ourselves about what is being said. This is all so unprofessional! And all this meaning the result sounds amateurish, made on the cheap side, which is a pity as serious research and work are definitively behind this podcast. In short the author sabotaged his own work by under performing the reading! For once I would rather read a printed version of this research for this oral version with all its failings seriously hinders the quality of the content.

Lots of contents and research, but...
