Llyn Hafod y Llyn (The Lake of the Lake Lodge/Shelter!!) ‘Hafod’ is the word for a place on high land where the shepherds would stay in summer while tending their sheep. ( ‘Haf’=Summer ‘Fod’ = place/to be). Lastly, the story of the circle of beings that I was trying to remember actually happened in Westmeath, Ireland...It's in Dermot MacManus's The Middle Kingdom. It is set at Clonmillan Hill. The circle of beings move in a similar way to that reported by Siôn. In addition, just like report from NW Wales, this area was also known to be connected with Otherworldly experiences. The description of bagpipes suggest music may have also played an element. Early one morning, she took a stroll through her friend's garden and came face to face with some beings, whom she describes as 'forest spirits', sitting in three trees growing inside a spiral of arrangement of rocks. As Willa described: "I saw them, they seemed to be “looking” at me. My impression was they were aware I could see them. The situation...lasted only for about a minute before they seemed to fold in on themselves and disappear." Describing herself as a lifelong 'skeptical person', we discuss how coming into contact with these beings has made a subsequent impact on Willa's life and how she feels about visiting this location in the Tarragona region again, later in the year. We also discuss Willa's call, to aid people like me and you who have become homeless. Here she is volunteering during lockdown in the kitchen of the Pfuusbus in Zürich. I love this podcast, the only issue that I have is that sometimes the mic of the guest(s) doesn't have optimal performance and it is difficult to understand them.

If you have an interest in fairies/folklore and the paranormal then stumbling across this podcast is like finding treasure. Jo is a wonderful host, with a soothing voice, and arguably one of the biggest names in the field of fairy/folklore research in the UK today. Her episodes are well thought-out, her interviews are fascinating and the love and respect that she has for the subject, and the people/stories discussed, shines through in every episode. I would highly recommend this podcast.

Love this podcast for being so accessible and well presented. It has that beautiful balance of being completely relatable yet mysterious. Jo and her guests take the woo woo out of a subject that is so very real to many of us and placed it front and centre of the way we live today.
