I love how much this anthology expands your empathy. Although we can never truly understand what it's like to be an animal,sometimes a little imagination can help us to understand their behaviour rather than defaulting to "it's just their instincts." However, certain stories did seem quite pretentious and hard to follow, trying to make a deep statement and falling flat.Those that were more narrativ or character driven provided far better insights.

This little collection of animal stories took me by complete surprise! Each was incredibly well crafted with interesting twists to keep you engaged. The intro explaining why the collection was brought together was also so interesting. Love finding strange and wonderful short stories like these that enable a different outlook than ones own.

Not often I review books but this was a gem! Especially Rectangles, which made me cry. Well read and an interesting perspective!

As the title, they were mainly boring or a couple that made little sense. However, Rectangles was beautiful and what I was expecting that all the stories would be like. Worth listening to just this one, even if you skip the other ones before it. I was going to quit listening part way through the series, but I'm glad I didn't now.

I read the other reviews prior to ordering which may have helped me to enjoy. I found most reviews said it wasn't very good so I came at it with low expectations and I did actually quite enjoy them. I do like to see others views of the world animals or people.
I had my favourites, and disappoints but that is the usual case with short stories. So I would recommend as a interesting listen.
