• Putting On The Armour Of God Means Putting On Christ!
    Mar 20 2024
How do Christians overcome spiritual opposition? Putting on the armour of God means putting on Jesus Christ. God Himself is our defender - our shield and our strength. God gives us victory over spiritual opposition, and demolishes the attack of the enemy. New Creations, overcome the lies and deceptions of the enemy with the truth of God's word, and stand in the victory that Jesus secured at the cross.

  • God Is Intimately Involved
    Mar 13 2024

God is intimately involved in the lives of His children. He's at work in the world around us, and we have an opportunity to partner with Him in the mission He's already actively unfolding. But sometimes wrong thinking causes us to live as if God is far away. Today we explore a bit about what the Bible says about God's proximity to us.

  • Hardship Does Not Mean God Has Left You
    Feb 29 2024

Does hardship and suffering mean that God has left us? Not a chance! There is purpose to be found in the trials and pain of life, and through it all we can be confident that God never leaves us or forsakes us. The hardship that results from a broken creation provides us a unique opportunity to depend on Jesus so that His life and power can burst out of us.

  • Worshiping From the Reality of Jesus Christ
    Feb 9 2024

In episode 11 of the We Are Recreated Podcast, JM talks about worshiping God out of the reality of our new identity in Christ and the reality of God's unchanging goodness and grace.

    0:00 - Intro

0:35 - John 4 - the Woman at the Well

1:19 - Worship when reality is hard

3:41 - Worship because of the reality of your new identity

6:27 - Worship because of the reality of God's goodness

    8:30 - Wrap Up

In the middle of all the ups and downs of life, we can choose to worship God. He's worth it! He deserves all the glory and the praise.

But beyond the things we see, there's a reality inside us: we are the recreated people of God, changed to the core, and always in right standing with God. We can worship God out of the reality of our restored relationship with Him.

And also, God is unchanging. The reality of His goodness and grace is awe-inspiring, and as we fix our eyes on Him we can worship with whole-hearted devotion.

Bless ya lots as you press in to know Him more!

  • Our New Identity In Christ Is Here!
    Jan 19 2024

As we wrap up the first series here at the We Are Recreated Podcast, we explore the present-tense provision and care of God as it relates to our present-tense new identity in Christ. We have been transformed, and there's benefit and grace that accompanies this truth even now. We don't just have to wait for heaven to see and experience grace, mercy, freedom, and victory. Romans 8 tells us that in all kinds of hardship we are more than conquerors because we are in Him - the one who loved us and gave himself up for us.

Here are the verses we pulled out for this episode:

    2 Corinthians 5:17

    Romans 5:17

Romans 8 (read the whole chapter - it's so good!)

    1 Corinthians 10:6 & 11

    John 15:4-5

    2 Peter 1:3

  • God's Invitation To Life
    Dec 5 2023

In Episode 8 of the We Are Recreated Podcast JM & Kim share a selection of verses that talk about being "In Christ" or "In Him." Did you know these phrases are used well over 100 times in the new testament? Maybe God has something important to tell us about new life in Jesus... Maybe this is God's invitation to life!

🔥🔥🔥 Here are the verses (AND MORE!) for you to check out:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

Because of God you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30)

Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. (Galatians 3:25-26)

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight. (Ephesians 1:7-8)

In him we have obtained an inheritance. (Ephesians 1:11)

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13)

Even when we were dead in our trespasses, [God] made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. (Ephesians 2:5)

If we have died with him, we will also live with him! (2 Timothy 2:11)

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. (1 Peter 2:24)

Righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe… and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:22&24)

The law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)

In Him you have been made complete. (Colossians 2:10)

Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17)

When we are in Christ Jesus, it is not important if we are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith—the kind of faith that works through love. (Galatians 5:6)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)

In him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28)

God chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. (Ephesians 1:4)

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)

You were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light. (Ephesians 5:8)

You are from God, little children, and have overcome false prophets and the spirit of antichrist; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

I pray that the faith you share will make you understand every blessing that we have in Christ. (Philemon 1:6)
