Pontiac’s War erupted in the Great Lakes region of North America just as the French and Indian War came to a close in 1763. Martin Robison Delany (1812-1885) was an African-American abolitionist, journalist, physician, and author. He was one of the first three black people admitted to Harvard Medical School.
