While staying at Aunt Betsy's where neither she nor her dog seem to do anything right, Mary Sue and her dog go out for a walk, find a large hollow stump with a ladder going down, and soon find themselves in an unusual sort of land. Even more unusual, everyone seems to know them as Mary the Marvelous and Perfect Pooch and are so glad they have come to help King Dindy with the Trouble. Mary Sue is not sure she can help, but she thinks it would be interesting to meet a King. And so starts her adventure in a land full of surprises, some more pleasant than others.

Andy and Shadow are walking along a beautiful lake when they hear very strange noises coming from a palace. Who lives in the palace? Prince Sidney Sutton, who has so many pushbutton boxes that he can play any game, be a rock star, fly to the moon. Andy sees a problem with all those boxes, but does Sidney? Can Andy explain it? On Andy's adventures, one never knows.

Andy and Shadow wander into the beautiful city of Ling. The royal guards see that they are strangers and insist that Andy come with them to see the prince. It seems the young prince is unhappy because he thinks not all is right in his beautiful city. But people will not tell their Prince if something is wrong. Can Andy help? On Andy's adventures, one never knows.

On a business trip to Turkey Mary Sue Hooper finds herself held for ransom along with several other women. Her brother Pres and their partner Dan O'Donovan both receive ransom notes and leave for Istanbul. But just before Dan leaves, his control contacts him with orders to "free those women" for reasons that don't quite ring true. In Istanbul Dan deals with the situation and with Pres who is, as usual, clueless about what else Dan does for a living.

In his Gallic Wars, one of the few women Caesar mentions is Odelia, sole heir of Orgetorix, the most feared of the Helvetian (Swiss) chieftains Orgetorix has the secret ambition of leading the Helvetians across the river into the rich lands of Gaul (France), insisting he has no fear of the Roman retaliation. To achieve his aim, he pledges his daughter in marriage to the Gaul Dumnorix, King of the wealthy Aeduans, who had ousted his older brother Divitiacus for allying with Rome and replaced him with the younger brother.

Dr. Tom Halverson, specialist in the surgery of repair, has realized that in spite of having a prestigious profession and dreams of a bright, full future, his soul is dying within him. So when he receives an offer from a doctor in Mexico with whom Tom had become professionally acquainted, against the advice of everyone, Tom accepts at once. He flies south, hoping to set himself once again on the path to the kind of life he always intended.

A story in verse for young children. In this adventure Andy and Shadow arrive at the Oasis of the Golden Half Moon. Among the people camped at the oasis is the Princess Calandra who is, people tell Andy, a very cantankerous princess. But is she really? Andy wants to know. Songs are performed by T Moody.

In the 10th century before the conquering Viking Sitric settled in Ireland as King of Dublin, the entire north was a welter of warlords, Brit, Celt and Viking, vying for power and land through alliances and wars. Bergith came to the Celt castle of Kolaren as the only surviving Viking captive of a raid on her Viking village, and to protect her from a harsh, cruel castle the warlord's Lady Nelda dressed her in boy's clothing, called her Einar and gave her a small harp which she learned to play well.

When Andy and Shadow find themselves shipwrecked, they swim to a nearby island. At first, Andy says that "Island life isn't all that bad." However, he soon discovers that there are Trons on the island, and the Trons are not happy at all... The songs that come along from time to time are performed by T Moody.

Andy and his dog Shadow like to go wandering. Usually, they find someone who needs help and Andy is always willing to do what he can. Sometimes that works out and sometimes it does not. In this tale, they find themselves in a beautiful orchard owned by a very large giant. When Andy agrees to watch the orchard while the giant goes to visit his sister, he has no idea how much trouble this would be. But as in all the tales, there is a common sense lesson to be learned

In South Carolina, particularly in Charles Town, in January 1775 preparations for war are well underway, Peggy Monaghan's two brothers drill with the militia, and Peggy's two best friends have much to discuss over tea, except when Peggy is expected to stay a few months each year on her father's indigo plantation. As war clouds gather, a number of the wealthy young South Carolinians sent abroad for their education have left off swashbuckling through society in London and Edinburgh and are coming home to join the Patriot cause. Among them is Ned Forsythe, the youngest brother of Peggy's close friend Anne, but, having been obliged to marry in England, he almost at once goes north to join the Continental Army and escape the wagging tongues of Charles Town. An impending attack by British warships in early summer of 1776 brings him back, and, inevitably he and Peggy fall in love in a world complicated by two more British attacks, the brutal British occupation, and the iron clad code of honor that held sway in the society of the 18th century.

Pres Hooper, who has been dating a Senator's daughter, is on a junket to Peru with the Senator when the plane crashes. For Dan's control, this is a perfect opportunity to put into action his plan to topple both the corrupt government and replace the inept "puppet" that the US Embassy and the CIA have selected with a man he has found. Now is the time for his man to start playing a role on a larger stage.

A story in verse about Andy's travels. When he and his dog go wandering into a city park he finds Molly crying by a tree. Why? Because everything about her is so average and boring, and she wants to be different from everybody else. Then she finds a four-leaf clover, a leprechaun appears, and Molly has three wishes to make her dreams come true. So how does that work out for her?

This is the fifth summer that Kate Burnett, her older brother Cole, and their father have spent a month riding the horse trails in a different state while their mother drives the horse trailer from one "horse lodge" to the next. The Kickin' Trail Ranch is one of the nicest they've found. The food is great, the location next to the Natchez Trace State Park, and some of the other guests are young and attractive. It seems wonderful until a body is found on the trail.

A historical romance from medieval Spain when Christian kingdoms vied with Muslim caliphates in war and intrigue. Lucia grew up within the convent walls of an order of nuns who, with the exception of her tutor and the Mother Superior, have taken a vow of silence. She was unaware that she even had a father until the day he came to retrieve her. The same day a beautiful young woman, screaming and resisting, is brought to the convent and Lucia is taken away by her father to his castle.

Sayed the Wizard has warned young Tarquin Rafi about finding those golden keys. The Caliph of Ubar; his brother, Prince Azoreen; and his sister, Princess Zolaya, have each secretly promised Tarquin Rafi ships and gold for a key, thinking there was only one. However, according to legend there are three, and they are said to belong to the so-called gods of Ubar. A wizard knows the dangers of meddling in such matters, whether you happen to believe in those gods or not. A legend is a legend, and a curse is a curse. Naturally, Tarquin Rafi doesn't listen. He's already found two keys and is about to steal the third.

A novel about the family of Peter Monclair, his family and his slaves, since any colonial plantation was, although Jefferson stated such could not exist, in reality a biracial community. Moonroy, founded by Peter's father, a French Huguenot and one-time pirate, was not one of the grand river plantations of South Carolina, but it was a prosperous one. Peter was an early signer under Gadsden's Liberty Tree and, like many of his friends, came to realize that reason and law would not change England's policies.

The second mission with Pres Hooper unwittingly attached to it begins when Pres flies off to Ireland to console his sister Mary Sue after an unexpected and tragic turn of events. Dan O'Donovan's control sends Dan along to find out what so unexpectedly went wrong and to investigate his theory that the reason hostilities in Northern Ireland between Catholics and Protestants continue to flare up because there are a few individuals deliberately fanning the flames for their own purposes. Dan is to try to confirm the theory and act accordingly.

Patti has found that having a "keen, analytical mind" as her teachers call it might be a great help studying science which she loves but it has not done much for her social life. The summer camping trip with her two cousins, Jolene and Juliebelle, was supposed to help, but camping with two battling sisters is no help for anything. At Golden Groves campground, however, things begin to change for the better, at least for Patti, with the arrival of a handsome camper who is smart enough not to be roped in by Jolene.
