"Candide", la celebre e pungente satira di Voltaire del 1959, ha un ritmo frenetico, è caustico e fa sbellicare dalle risate, ma al contempo contiene un'esplorazione magistrale della filosofia, della religione, del pregiudizio e della crudeltà del cieco ottimismo.
