The Pike

The playfully evil sisters, Zoey and Eve, play matchmaker from their bakery, The Pike, in Pike Place Market in Seattle. Ligaya is a quantum physicist working in a research lab at the University of Washington. She is seduced by the numbers and math with a drive that excludes everything in her life including social interactions. Emotions have always been hard for her to understand or express. When she meets an ex-firefighter, Allison, she finds herself fighting to understand all the new feelings rising inside.

Madelyn Stone and her brother moved to Seattle to make a fresh start and leave their troubled past behind them. With her brother working in a scrapyard and Madelyn selling handmade items from her cart in Pike Place Market, everything is starting to look up. It all comes crashing down around Maddie when a thief makes off with her cash box, but not before her vendor cart gets demolished. The investigation police officer, Danielle O’Brien, immediately has Madelyn’s guard up, as well as her heat rate.

When the punk rock queen of Seattle, Na Na Evermore, does a broadcast highlighting the Pike Bakery. The mischievous and meddlesome sisters, Eve and Zoey go about nudging her toward the geeky personal assistant assigned to Na Na, Karmin Hughes. Hilarity and romance ensue, and as usual all it takes is just a nudge from everyone's favorite redheads. By serendipity or happenstance, it turns out that Na Na (Nala) and Karmin know each other, as they had attended school together. And for Nala, it is a frightening and exciting revelation, having someone who knew who she really was.

Eve, along with her sister Zoey, has an uncanny knack for helping people who frequent the Pike bakery at Pike Place Market in Seattle to find love. Her meddling is a thing of legends when it comes to matchmaking. But for Eve, it is a spectator sport as she has never really pursued a romantic relationship of her own. Love was for other people, and she basked in the results of watching people find their happily-ever-afters. Imagine her surprise when serendipity came knocking and she found herself falling head over heels.
