The Ronin Saga

Legends uncovers the origin of the Ronin and the final breaking. Kail, leader of the Ronin and threader of wind, along with his eight elemental brothers and sisters have been betrayed. On the cusp of defeat, they go to the Hall of Winds, to the council chamber to discover who in their inner circle is the cursed traitor...Only to discover the darkness is much closer than they ever imagined.

Gray has a secret. He's a reborn legend called Ronin, an elemental guardian that protected one of the nine cities: wind, water, fire, stone, moon, sun, nature, metal, and flesh. The only problem? He's evil. Well, or at least, that's what everyone thinks. With his newfound power, Gray has plans to overcome this unfortunate stigma, unveil the true darkness, and reunite the other elemental Ronin. Considering they're feared as harbingers of chaos and destruction, however, it's...a bit of a tall order.

When legends come to life, the world trembles from a single name. Ronin. Once-heroes from a different age, they wield elemental powers: wind, water, fire, stone, forest, sun, moon, flesh, and metal. At the same time, a young man discovers his best friend with a sword in her stomach and dark wings sprouting from her back. Guards rush to the scene and accuse him of the act, and he is forced to flee.

Seventeen-year old Gray is descended from a legendary hero known as a Ronin and haunted by his forgotten past. He returns home to a wizards' keep, unaware he is now labeled a murderous traitor for killing his best friend. Now he must cross a dangerous desert full of thieves, mythical beasts, and other magical unknowns, all to return to a home that may be his demise. At the same time, a poisonous evil seeks to convert the world to their dark mantra, "strength is life, weakness death". Gray may have hero's blood in his veins, but how can one kill a belief?

Now, together, they must travel to the City of Sun and find the others like them - uniting the infamous Ronin in order to end a growing evil. The City of Sun awaits - yet a plague, a missing sword, and a pact made in blood threaten to tear them apart. Will Gray and his friends unite the Ronin...or fall before they even begin?

Gray is dying from the bloodpact. He stands on the precipice of life and death and must resolve his vow made in blood with the enigmatic Faye. Farhaven as a whole is threatened by a new evil. Mathelstan, thief-lord of water, seeks the title of Master of Shadows, head of all the thiefdoms. In an effort to consolidate power and save his city, Mathelstan steals the Ronin’s blades and puts Darius before the crucible of fire.

Ezrah is 16 and a rapscallion denizen of the Citadel - a school of magical wizards called Reavers - and unfortunately, failing his studies miserably. On the verge of being kicked out, Ezrah has little hope but to pass a final test of magic. However, the test soon becomes the least of Ezrah's concern, as a nefarious woman kidnaps his childhood friend in a plot to seize immeasurable power. At the same time, the city is slowly dying of thirst, the people abandoned by those meant to protect them.
