This is a satisfying conclusion to the Confessions series as the plot centers around the biggest confession of the series. I found Bailey's turmoil through this book really captivating. It's wonderfully emotional throughout, though very fast-paced.

The narration is perfection as always. Charlie David is fantastic and it's got to the point where I think I'll listen to anything he narrates now.

For anyone who got this far into the series must be in love with the Confession Boys and so I am also in that category. And I, like other fans, also wanted to get the ending to Henri and Bailey. It was the usual good writing from Ella Frank and brilliant narration from Charlie David. So all in all, the expected quality from this duo.

But. What annoyed me was that there was no need to split these books into 2. With tiny bit of cropping (or not), this could have easily been one long book. I mean 186 pages right. So whatever the reason was to split this into two, (and the fan in me hopes there are genuine reasons for doing it rather than the cynic in me thinking this was done to make some cash from the fans of the Confessions), it didn’t work for me because I couldn’t help but be annoyed while listening to it thinking this is a bit dragged out. This annoying detail doesn’t take too much from the series, the great writing by the author and the fantastic narration. But it is an annoying fact nevertheless and has to be acknowledged. And if I’m completely honest, if it wasn’t for the narration and the book being on audio I’m not sure I would have finished… which is a shame. Because I’m (was?) a fan.
