Summary
Caught in a frustrating relationship with a man who can't accept her for who she is, passionate, flame-haired violinist Summer finds release in her music. She spends her afternoons busking on the underground, lost in the works of Vivaldi or Mendelssohn. When her violin is damaged beyond repair, Summer receives a surprising proposition from Dominik, a university professor with powerful desires, who has been captivated by Summer ever since he heard her perform. Dominik will replace her priceless violin, but only if she agrees to play for him in a private concert. Unable to deny the chemistry between them, Dominik and Summer embark on an intense affair full of daring twists and turns, as unpredictable as it is thrilling.
For Summer it is a chance to finally embrace her long-denied dark side, but she'll soon learn that where there's pleasure must come pain. And can a relationship born of such all-consuming passion, ever really survive? Exhilarating, seductive and tantalisingly bold, Eighty Days is a love story that will leave you breathless for more.
Read by Roxy Isles. Roxy has worked for many years as a narrator of erotic fiction. She has also starred in various TV dramas and theatre productions in the UK. She lives in the country and enjoys horse riding and walking.

Yet another trilogy
This is the first part of three but for some bizarre reason you can't get the oth two parts on Audio sadly it's a great read very rude in places but this adds to the story lol

Dark - undecided what score to give ....
Despite the FSoG type title this is where the similarity ends. It is not romantic, more like a sexual journey of two very different people Dominic who realises he likes to exercise his darker impulses of domination control and rough sex and to his delight stumbles upon Summer who does not say no to any of his sexual deviancies and exploration but in fact revels in it, and who is a natural submissive, not that he is in any way part of the BDSM scene but makes it up as he goes along to fill his own urges- and Summer (ah poor Summer) her dawning comprehension she realises she enjoys the 'zone' that public humiliation and being controlled puts her in, a place that is similar when she plays the violin but also eases her voracious sexual appetite..
At first I enjoyed the book for what it was, being written well and Roxy Isles is a superb narrator, but then Victor comes along, this is where I baulked and found it very difficult to listen to as I felt as if I was in Summers head with her and really it was not a pleasant place to be, I had to make myself listen as she headed towards a place where there would be no going back, I cringed and detested a good portion of the book as Summer continued on her journey.
The characters are unapologetic, perverse, crude and the author so dispassionate in their observations of the lead characters that it is almost like you are studying pinned specimans on a board with the author, herein lay my problem I empathised too much with Summer and became the specimen on the board.
So to cap off I do not know what score to give this book it is written and narrated well, with well drawn characters even though I found them distasteful, with a plot that follows a young and talented girls life with a predilection for humiliation and exhibitionism, too dark for me..but for the author to wring all these emotions out and to really me get into Summers head she did well to that, not that I want to experience it again..

Reasonable tale
Much better than the hyped shades of grey trilogy, grammer narration and characters. hope there's a sequel.

Loved it. But why is it the only one on audible?
I loved the whole production. story unusual and the performance was excellent. Where are the three further volumes?
