About this listen
Elizabeth Lyons has one rule for herself: no distractions.
No distractions basically translates into no men, which definitely means hell no when it comes to Daniel Alexander.
After a chance meeting at a professional function, Daniel is not interested in letting Elizabeth go. No matter how much Elizabeth tries to stay away from him, Daniel's not the kind of guy who lets something he wants walk out of his life. The question is, will she let him catch her, or will her past fears ruin any chance of a future with him?

this was my audible book I have listen and I surprised how good it was, the two narrators told the story brilliantly with emotion, humour and sexy in all the right places

“What I needed was a strong man who wouldn’t listen to me when I said I wanted him to leave me alone.”
“What I needed was a strong man who wouldn’t listen to me when I said I wanted him to leave me alone.”
Some of these alpha male stories work, if you want a bit of role division caveman style. The inclusion of a career driven woman who has no time for a relationship is perhaps a way to try to make it modern…. However I didn’t feel this story succeeded in making the old roles seem sexy. Having read plenty of other books with exactly these tropes I know it’s possible to gauge the fine line between coming on strong and being a stalker. This one just had a little too much mansplaining and a little too much alphaholeness for me to give it more stars. Being worn down into accepting a relationship, and having a guy explain it’s just your baggage and trauma causing you to say ‘no’…. Hm. Problematic. I didn’t think 2016 was that long ago but this book needs an update. Otherwise it was ok. Well read. Probably being slightly too critical. But I couldn’t get over some very cringy lines which knocked the equality of this relationship sideways for me. Rewrite some lines and the book succeeds. Steamy scenes are well written, though.

Easy reading little drama
Just enough to keep the tension for a while. Length was exactly right for the story as twists were little but effective. Standard romance but good standard.

Great quick read
Erin Mallon has one of the best male character voices in the narration business and she brings a great narration to this story, the combination of her and Jason Clarke is perfection. a great short romance story. this is a new author to me and I'm already looking for other books by them to add to my ever growing TBR.

Nice
Usually I don't like when book is presents by more then one lector, but this one was read very nicely and I like it so much.
A bit of pychologie, same nice sens of humour and romance just right to make it good to listen in one go.

Ok
Good narration, but the romance was a bit underwhelming. I didn't particularly warm to any of the characters, and don't get me started on that irritating PA who crossed the boundaries of acceptable employee behaviour.
