Trapped in the ophidians dungeon, Brokk will do anything to break free and save Kaylia, but trying to escape the monsters imprisoning them is harder than he anticipated.

As days turn into months, freedom becomes a dream he and Kaylia share while their bond grows deeper. But when secrets surface, will the tangled web of lies destroy them or make them stronger?

Enter the Shadow Realms. A world where vampires feast, lycans love deeply, dark fae seduce, witches cast their spells, dragons rule the skies and this exciting series comes to an explosive conclusion.

Who doesn’t love a half vampire, half dark fae prince?

Secrets of Ruin is the eleventh and final book in the Shadow Realms series. This series should be read in order.

This book was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions!
I felt devastated, heartbroken and fearful while they were captured. It was truly harrowing to listen to and reduced me to tears many times. I was so relieved when they escaped and was slightly surprised that they had escaped by the 29% mark, however, what Brokk and Kaylia went through made it seem longer. What did shine through was their love and devotion to one another during this time.

I was so pleased that we saw all the other characters we have grown to love during this series and that they were featured so heavily in this book! The bonds between the characters is what ultimately makes this series so loveable to me (besides the amazing world building and spectacular writing). How the others supported Brokk and Kaylia was very sweet. While this book had so many dark moments with emotions of fear, anger, devastation etc., the joy and delight this main cast brought with their relationships (not just romantic) was pure brilliance.

I was SHOCKED when we learned something while Kaylia and Brokk were recovering, that was revealed by Sahira. I won’t say anything else but I did not see that coming.

And when all the characters went back to the Doomed Valley? I was so on edge and worried. The battle was fast paced and I felt like I was there. I’m so glad certain evil characters got the justice they deserved.

Possibly my favourite part was, near the end of the book, we don’t just see Brokk and Kaylia’s POVs.
We see Lexi’s point of view for her wedding(!!), a special moment between Orin and Sahira in Sahira’s pov (I love these two).
And a very special surprise for Brokk and Kaylia!!! The perfect conclusion for this fantastic series.

The best news I have heard was when it was revealed there will be a spin-off series.
I won’t reveal anything, but I wasn’t expecting the spin-off to be about who it is. I do hope that eventually we might get a book about Varo, Del, or Maverick finding their love interests, but for now I am so excited for the spin-off!
