Ali Kingston has spent the past thirteen years travelling the world with her husband Mike in their motorhome, blogging about their experience along the way on their website. They have lived in five motorhomes, each one a different type. Trips have taken them to the USA, Mexico and Canada, on two separate occasions. For the first visit they imported their British vehicle into the States on a Temporary Import Bond. The second time they purchased a Recreational Vehicle (RV) in Florida. In Europe they have had three motorhomes and currently live full time in a van conversion, the smallest of all. Trips have taken them beyond Europe to Morocco, Turkey, Belarus and Russia. Their only problem is trying to decide where to go next.

Ali & Mike Kingston
They live to travel and she loves writing about it.
Ali Kingston picked Mike up in a bar in Norwich in 2000. She didn't literally pick him up, although that would explain why her shoulder hurts so much these days. Her fate with Mike, as a traveller, was sealed a few weeks later on their package holiday to Gran Canaria. Most men would have dumped the new girlfriend after she ran out of toiletries and underwear but Mike wasn't put off by this debacle and soon she was over stuffing a backpack with clothes she was unlikely to need for her first serious independent backpacking trip to India. For this she learnt the importance of keeping a travel diary from her sister, Catherine. Globe-trotting in a motorhome meant she had to cope with three in her relationship but, this didn't prevent her from continuing with 'dear diary' jottings. Expect more publications as the stack of journals is now half her height. She's not overly tall, but half her height is notable, especially when you don't have anywhere to store stuff.
Ali loves her lifestyle with Mike in the motorhome, and the only thing she misses about not having a permanent base is a cat. Her cats Mickey and Dave, both went to good homes when they so selfishly hit the road. Unfortunately, neither of them are still around but they both lived long and happy lives.
Ali has had three careers in nursing, pharmaceutical sales and nutritional therapy, because she enjoys variety and got on with doing what suited her at the time.
