Betsey Kulakowski is a federally trained investigator and recently retired safety professional with over 30 years in the field. With a degree in emergency management, she served on disaster response teams at the Murrah Federal Building Bombing, the World Trade Center, and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, among others. She is the bestselling, award-winning author of The Veritas Codex paranormal thriller series and The Veil of Secrets, Book 1 of the new Manifest Destiny series. Her seventh novel, The King's Ransom, won Best Published Fiction Novel at WriterCon 2024. A frequent speaker at writing conferences and book clubs, Betsey is also an avid history buff, paranormal investigator, and dedicated genealogist. She now lives in Arkansas with her husband, is the proud mom of two grown kids, and devotes her time to writing, podcasting, and occasionally teaching occupational safety.
