When Bronwyn was about ten, she wrote to Enid Blyton telling her she was going to be a writer too. She kept to her plan and that has been her occupation since. Over that time she has been an advertising copywriter, contract writer, editor, education writer, freelancer, playwright, writing mentor and tutor, novelist, theatre reviewer, competition judge, and academic writer while she was also an academic. She has written 12 books both non-fiction and novels, many plays, short stories, radio stories and scripts, articles, humour and other forms of writing. She has also earned many writing awards. Of the genres she has written, she now most enjoys fiction and playwriting. When not at her keyboard in Auckland, New Zealand’s stunning ‘City of Sails’, Bronwyn is likely to be patting cats, plotting the next script or trying to calculate how many million words she has produced over her career.
