Catherine Coles has always had a taste for adventure, which is fitting given she was born abroad because of her father’s work in the Army. She was lucky enough to spend her summer holidays visiting different European countries. She fell in love with books at an early age and devoured every mystery the school library offered. Her love of sleuths began with Nancy Drew and blossomed into a lifelong admiration for Agatha Christie—whose books still sit proudly on her shelves. Now, Catherine brings her own mysteries to life with a blend of cosy charm, clever twists, and plenty of tea. She’s the bestselling author of the Tommy & Evelyn Christie Mysteries, set in the North Yorkshire countryside of the 1920s, and the Martha Miller Mysteries, which take place in post-WW2 Berkshire. Her newest series, Lady Matilda Investigates, follows a rather reluctant aristocratic sleuth (and her basset hound sidekick) through the secrets and scandals of a 1920s Devon village. Catherine lives in Yorkshire with her youngest child and their pampered beagle (who has no idea she’s not human). You can connect with her at www.catherinecoles.com.
