Commander James Bondage is the pen-name of a retired criminal defense attorney with a Master's Degree in European History. This is probably accounts for his historical novels set in medieval Europe, such as To Train a Queen and Trapped Princess. His legal experiences formed the basis for the "By Judicial Decree" series, and his background in military history was the inspiration for "Cadets." The remainder of the Commander's output can only be put down to a childhood spent locked inside a Skinner box watching black-and-white bondage movies and reading the collected works of the Marquis de Sade. He retired a few years ago with most of his faculties impaired. When he isn't writing morally questionable books, he spends his time fiddling with his stamp collection, folding himself up inside a convertible sofa and pretending to be a Mercury astronaut, or raising giant Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches for sale to the disgusting bug trade.
