Frances E. Dolan is an award-winning teacher and writer, located in Davis, California. Focusing on seventeenth-century England, she has written on topics including domestic violence and the troubled history of marriage, women and the family, witchcraft, Catholicism and anti-Catholicism, reading practices, and, most recently the connections between “alternative” agriculture today and seventeenth-century agriculture.
