Glenda Clemens was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1950. She grew up in several towns and cities in Southeast Oklahoma with her parents and four younger siblings. When she learned to read, her mind and heart were set on reading everything she could get her hands on. Her mother said one day, “Glenda Jean, I think you could make a story from the back of the cereal box.” Glenda took her mother’s words to heart and started making up stories long before she could write. As time went on, she read every book she could get her hands on. After reading Little Women, she was determined that somehow, in some way, she would be an author. She aspired to be like Jo. Her dream was to have her own space to write and make up stories. In 2018, she began to make her dreams come true. She retired from working as a family nurse practitioner and began writing fiction in her own study with her trusty computer. She wrote every day—and still does—and soon, she had her first story ready to publish, The Gloriana Paradigm. That wasn’t the end, though. Glenda has written over 25 novels, including a few with her husband, David. Glenda writes every day from her home in North Bend, WA, with her dog Audrey sitting in a chair watching every word that is written. All of Glenda’s stories are about women who take the mantle of their power and create their lives to be what they want them to be. In every story, love is always present. As the bard, John Lennon said, “Love is all we need.”
