His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan, Al’Numan VIII (Al-Nu‘man Gharios El Chemor Ibn Jafna Al-Ghassani Emir Al-Ghassassinah in Arabic) was born Ahnume Guerios (the Portuguese transliteration of “Al’Numan Gharios”) in exile in Curitiba, Brazil, on Saint Michael Archangel’s Day (September 29), descended from saints, emperors, kings, nobles, and heroes. HIRH is internationally recognized as the legitimate descendant and heir of the Ghassanid kings, the Byzantine emperors of the Phocid Dynasty, and the Sheikhs of the Chemor family, and also from illustrious families from Italy, France and from the United Kingdom. From his mother side, the prince also has Jewish blood both Ashkenazi and Sephardic, the latter from the traditional Pinto Family from Spain and Portugal. He is an actor, director, producer, musician, painter, and writer. He is an internationally well-known master of martial arts, holding several black belts and being the creator of the Bruce Lee Award of the Asian World Film Festival. He is a multi-awarded humanitarian in four continents.For his second book “Middle East – the Secret History” was honored by the Italian Republic with the “21st International Cultural Award Trentino-Abruzzo Alto Adige” (Italian Republic). Also in 2014, he was invested as a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, the oldest and one of the most respected and recognized orders of chivalry in the world given by the Pope. The prince was also recognized by the royal family of Dubai through His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Al-Maktoum as “The Middle East peace crusader of the year.” The Royal House of Ghassan was accredited by the United Nations with Special Consultative Status in 2016. In 2017, Prince Gharios was officially received by two heads of state: the President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Aoun, and the President of the Republic of Albania, Bujar Nishani. In the same year, he received from President Donald Trump “The President’s Volunteer Service Award—Lifetime Achievement”. In 2019, the Royal House of Ghassan was officially recognized by the Government of the Lebanese Republic, by Presidential Decree number 5800/2019. In 2022 was inducted in The International Sports Hall of Fame, one of the most prestigious Halls of Fame in the whole world. The list of inductees is beyond stellar: Arnold Schwarzenegger (first awardee and currently the head of the award’s board), 5 time World Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield, UFC world champions like Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque, action movie stars like Jason Statham, etc In 2023, was inducted in the famous “Marquis Who’s Who” (est. 1898) an encyclopedia of relevant biographies for his excellency in diplomacy.
