Jonny Zucker was born in 1966, the same year that England won the world cup! He grew up in North London where he would later raise his own family. As a child Jonny had two passions, football and storytelling. He loved both playing and reading about the beautiful game. He wrote his first full-length book - The Revenge of Caprir - when he was 10. Unfortunately, in 2016, Jonny sadly passed away. Jonny will be missed as a much-loved personality and as an exceptional author and human being. Jonny dedicated his life to improving child literacy and fostering a love of literature in children. Before becoming an author, he worked as a primary school teacher. Even after becoming a successful author he continued to work with dozens of schools up and down the country to inspire pupils and staff. Jonny wrote over 70 books and novels for children and teenagers. Jonny’s best-known series are Monster Swap with Horrid Henry illustrator, Tony Ross, Danny Sharp, Max Flash, Venus Spring - Stunt Girl, and Striker Boy. He also wrote the popular James King of England which was illustrated by Dennis the Menace artist - Barrie Appleby.
