Joshua Newman is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in private practice. With over twenty years of mental health care experience, he has provided psychological counseling to hundreds of individuals, couples, and families. In his practice, Joshua integrates principles of contemporary Western psychology with the ancient wisdom of Eastern philosophy. He holds a bachelor of arts in psychology and religion from Hendrix College and a master of arts in counseling from Southwestern College. Over the course of his career, he has presented numerous lectures on psychology, psychotherapy, dreams, and meditation. Joshua was first introduced to meditation practice by the late Zen Master Keido Fukushima Roshi during a religion class in college. He has attempted to maintain a meditation practice ever since. When he is not at work, he can be found playing his bass guitar, watching basketball, or enjoying the great outdoors. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his wife and son.
