Kathleen Souza grew up in Stamford and is a former CT teacher. After graduating from SCSU, she resided in Norwalk, CT where her children, Kate and Danny, were born. She earned her Master's degree from Sacred Heart University and now lives in Dartmouth, MA with her husband, Randy. She teaches 8th grade English Language Arts. Her experiences as a teacher and mother, combined with years of being drawn to the night sky and the sea inspired the creation of her two books, August Skies and June Moon. Kathleen was selected to be one of the featured authors on the main page of Black Rose Writing’s website for May 2015. This selection is based on several criteria, ranging from pre-release expectations, early success in book sales (both print and eBook), early review requests and positive feedback, and the generated interest from external sources.
