Krystina Rivera is the author of Self Love for Women, a proud mother of two daughters, and an expert at overcoming challenges that life has thrown at her. Self-Love has had a terrible reputation for being a hippy movement or something that is egotistical. Krystina also had her own misconceptions about self-love, thinking that a manicure, fitness and skincare was enough to say she practiced self-love. Krystina was a pro at burying problems and moving on. Despite encountering problem after problem, she would get up and put one foot in front of the other for the sake of her children. In the space of a week, she literally lost everything except her children. From this dark rock bottom, she had to discover how to put the pieces back together. This was when she began her journey of self- acceptance, forgiveness, and healing. She made taking care of herself a priority so that she was able to provide her girls' with everything they needed. It wasn't an easy journey. It took a lot of research, reflection and examination to uncover the true meaning of self-love. It also required a deep and honest look at her inner self, which was also a painful thing to do. But, in the end, it was uncovering this pain that led Krystina to gradually gain her power. By treating herself with patience and kindness, much the same as she treats her children and her friends, she found a way to challenge the negative beliefs she had about herself, master her emotions, and create resilience for future obstacles. By applying all that she had learned, Krystina has not only recovered from her own difficulties but has also developed a passion for guiding and supporting other women who have lost their way and are caught in the trap of self-hatred and self-doubt. Krystina is a firm believer that when women surround themselves with the right people and the right information, a fulfilling and joyful life can be achieved.
