Dear Reader, Melissa Jordan is my pen name. I am from Northern Ireland and I have written a memoir detailing my childhood abuse at the hands of my mother and her partner. In the beginning, I was writing this book for myself, to get it all out and to help with my healing, but now that it's out there I see that it is actually helping people who were and are going through what I went through. A lot of my reviews talk about how my book has helped them see that there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel. It has also given people who haven't had these experiences a glimpse into how abuse affects the victim/survivor and how it continues to affect them well past the time the abuse stops or stopped. There are a lot of people out there who are in a relationship with survivors in one way or another and I think my book can help them to empathise and understand what that person has gone through and is still going through. My healing journey isn't over, it's a lifelong journey. I have also produced an audiobook of No One To Save Me, narrated by a native of Northern Ireland. This is now available on Audible.
