Stefano Amadei was born in Varese (Italy) on October 28, 1974. After graduating from high school, he passionately devoted himself to writing, specializing in stories, fairy tales and short stories for children. In 2012 he won the second prize in the literary contest “Sassi&Parole,” thanks to the short story “Mai Stata Sognata” (Never Been Dreamt), a touching fable that explores the world of dreams through the eyes of a little girl. In 2014 he published "Racconti Svolazzanti" (Flyaway Tales), a collection of twelve illustrated fairy tales for children, which was an international success, so much so that it was translated into three languages. Year 2018 marks a turning point in her career with the publication of her first novel, "L'Opificio dei Colori" (The Colurs' Workshop), followed in 2020 by "L'Inferno di Malinverno" (Malinverno's Inferno), a work that pays homage to Dante's Inferno, dedicating an entire book to the devil Malinverno, his favorite character. In 2021, with "I Sogni di Lenticchia" (Lentil's Dreams), he gives readers a collection of fairy tales with a simple and classic flavor, in which his unmistakable narrative delicacy shines through. The following year, 2022, he published "Succo Concentrato di Venti Limoni - Formula Originale e Prodigiosa" (Concentrated Juice of Twenty Lemons - Original and Prodigious Formula), a brilliant adventure featuring twins Maurizio and Susanna, intent on improbable scientific experiments that are solved thanks to a secret ingredient. In 2024 he explores new narrative horizons with "Sulla Linea dell'Orizzonte - L'Ultimo Viaggio dei Pirati" (On the Horizon Line - The Last Pirates' Trip) a gripping novel that mixes adventure and mystery, enriching his literary output with a work that promises to captivate young readers and adults alike. There is no shortage of audiobooks: laugh-out-loud thrills with "I Custodi del Sonno" (The Keepers of Sleep) and a fantasy journey into the heart of each of us with "Il Castello dei Desideri" (The Wishes' Castle)” Stefano Amadei lives in Ispra (Italy) with his wife Tiziana and his daughter Ivana, continuing to enchant young and old readers with his stories full of imagination and humanity.
