Tyler Trafford grew up in Alberta during the oil boom following the 1947 discovery of Leduc No. 1. He graduated from The University of Calgary (B.A. Economics, English) and has worked for many years as a journalist, editor, and author. Tyler’s Almost A Great Escape won the 2014 Alberta Readers’ Choice Award, the Wilfrid Eggleston Award for Non-Fiction, and the W.O. Mitchell Book Prize. (Published in Italy as La Signora die Fiumi d’Eastate.) His first novel, The Story of Blue Eye, was a 2004 Grant MacEwan Literary Award finalist. Tyler released Shallow Rapids, a Small-Town Collision, in 2020 featuring the rational Analiese Drucker, Journeyman Welder. He continued this series with Trouble Finds Me and plans to publish a third novel in the series in 2023. He lives with Judy on the Oldman River near the town of Pincher Creek in Southern Alberta. http://www.tylertrafford.com
