About this listen
An inspirational success story that shows how anyone can be a champion, overcome challenges and create a better world for yourself and others.
65 Roses and a Trunki: Defying the Odds in Life and Business is the extraordinary success story of entrepreneur Rob Law, designer and inventor of Trunki, the award-winning children's ride-on suitcase that’s sold millions of units worldwide.
Born with cystic fibrosis, Rob watched his twin sister die from the same illness at 16. Told he could not expect to live into his 20s, he made a promise that he was going to defy the odds and live a long and successful life. Despite being humiliated on Dragons Den where his business was described as 'worthless', Rob went on to create a new category of consumer product, build a global business brand, become an accomplished athlete, get an MBE from the Queen, bring joy to millions of children all over the world and become a father to three children after being told he would die childless.
After beating overwhelming odds on the road to success in his personal and professional life, Rob wrote this memoir to help anyone facing difficult challenges in life and business. From brand-building and harnessing your creativity to managing a chronic health condition and facing your demons, you’ll learn how to defy the odds, follow your passion, keep fighting when experts are telling you to quit and overcome every challenge you face.
65 Roses and a Trunki is a life-affirming book. Drawing on key insights from personal and business psychology, it tells an inspirational story that can be your story too.

Turning things around to make your own luck!
Story of Rob's progress is wonderful, but the text is more than just a boast of how well he has done - it is presented in a way to motivate others to both have hope when they seem to have been dealt the worst cards of life, but also to be dangerous with their dreams & how to make a success. This could be the definition of an entrepreneur. It will make you think - hopefully to do better in society

truly phenomenal
I thought this was going to be a simple story where I would learn lessons to help me be as successful as the guy who invented a great product.
Little did I know what this guy had to endure and overcome in life and business... a truly personal account that gives hope to anyone finding hardship at the moment with a few perfect nuggets of advice to take forward to many situations in future... I'll be reading this again, it was that enjoyable x

An honest, raw and thought-provoking book
I've read lots of business books but '65 Roses & a Trunki' talks as much about personal challenges as it does business ones, this makes it a more interesting read and gives you much more to take away and action in your own life/business.
The way Rob takes setbacks in business and personal life and uses that for motivation or turns them in to a positive is something everyone can learn from and the honest journey of Trunki from idea, to Dragons Den, to success is an inspiring story with more twists and turns than I could imagine.
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this and will definitely be listening again (something I rarely do).
