About this listen
Richard Reed built Innocent Drinks from a smoothie stall on a street corner to one of the biggest brands in Britain. He credits his success to four brilliant pieces of advice, each given to him just when he needed them most.
Ever since, it has been Richard's habit, whenever he meets somebody he admires, to ask them for their best piece of advice. If they could tell him just one thing, what would it be?
Richard has collected pearls of wisdom from some of the most remarkable, inspiring and game-changing people in the world - in business, tech, philanthropy, politics, sport, art, spirituality, medicine, film, and design.
From Hollywood greats like Judi Dench and Richard Curtis, to entrepreneurial legends like Richard Branson and Simon Cowell; from sports stars and TV personalities like Andy Murray and James Cordon to political activists and born survivors like Mandela's Comrades and Katie Piper, Richard has picked some of the world's most interesting brains to give you a lesson in how to live, how to love, how to create and how to succeed.

Enjoyable story but Richard reed's voice was not the most enjoyable voice to listen to I'm afraid.

interesting mini insights into success
I found some people really interesting, and I suppose unsurprisingly others not so much. This was chosen for our book club and wouldnt normally be the sort of thing we would read but it was better than I thought it would be and a quick listen

Amazing and inspirational listen
I would have given this a 5 for each of the areas but if you voted to leave the EU in the recent referendum chapters of this book are written in a way that makes you feel irrelevant and simply stupid for voting that way. No understanding for the reasons why.

Snippets of useful common sense
What did you like best about If I Could Tell You Just One Thing? What did you like least?
A glimpse into the successful careers and lives of the well, and not so well, known is always quite interesting. The short chapters make this audio book really convenient, even on a busy day. Less pearls of wisdom and more common sense, I found the imparted advice a little predictable and slightly repetitive.
What was most disappointing about Richard Reed’s story?
I guess I was looking for more insight from the individual journeys, from each interviewee, than was provided here. However, with this introduction I can now investigate my favourites further.
Which character – as performed by Richard Reed – was your favourite?
It's hard not to want to live like Richard Branson. Given the opportunity, I would like to give it a go!
Did If I Could Tell You Just One Thing inspire you to do anything?
Yes, I feel more inclined to focus only on the things that I find meaningful and rewarding in my career and home life. As well as to, take the time to appreciate the best bits from my own journey, the people that have influenced me, and others I have yet to encounter along the way.
Any additional comments?
Richard Reed does a good job narrating his book, making it much more personal.
