What a wonderful book

I really enjoyed this book and found it very relaxing to listen to. Jo has a very soothing voice, and brings you to a calm place with her words of wisdom and ease of explanation. I laughed out loud at some parts, intertwined amongst the wisdom are some humourous lines which creeps out of the calm unexpectedly. I have been on my own spiritual journey in the last year or so and as a result of listening to Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, I was led to Jo's book and am so glad I was. She has managed to bring together all the pieces I have learnt from reading the perhaps more well known books (by Eckhart Tolle, Gabby Bernstein, Rhonda Burne, Abraham Hicks etc) in such a simple and easy to understand way it has given me that lightbulb moment where it all suddenly fits together. Thus making it an essential read for anyone embarking on their spiritual journey. Thank you Jo, I'm actually sorry I've finished it and will revisit it many times in the future.

Simplifying the unsimplifiable

I discovered Jo after reading Fearnes Cottons latest book and immediately added this to my wish list. I have been interested in spirituality for a few years now but those little drips of doubt that this can’t be real have crept in. Jo makes it all real and demystifies things in a simple and scientific type way. At first I thought her voice was a bit boring but as I got deeper into it I realised this actually helped to keep me focused on the facts and practices and make them ‘normal’ as she is just a normal person like you and I. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about spirituality or make sense of the signs and dreams we all have

Wonderful

I'm a psychologist who is also going through my own souls journey of self discovery. I think you weave together shamen concepts & spirituality beautifully. Making it both accessible & enlightening.

A book to help you navigate life

Absolutely loved this book. I am the sort of person that welcomes anything into my home that brings me joy, this definitely passed the joy test. I can’t even put into words how much this book has changed my outlook of life. Looking through the prospectus of our local college unfortunately there is nothing in regards to being a shaman, so it is for now a dream. The authors work is beautiful and I hope I do the knowledge it shared justice by sharing with others in my life 👌

Such a great book full of insights

I loved the audiobook because Jo’s voice is soothing and calming. Although I have practiced mindfulness for many years, I still learned so much from Jo’s knowledge and insights. It has certainly given me lots to think about and consider. I think everyone would benefit from reading this brilliant book.
Thanks Jo x

A wise friend!

I listened to this book on Audible at a difficult time and found it packed with distillations of ancient traditions and helpful exercises. I love Jo’s no-nonsense delivery, her advice against worrying we are not practicing our spirituality enough, her insistence on the importance of belly laughs and fun: “Sometimes spirit is best served with ice and lemon”…. I need to buy the printed version now.
