About this listen

Sarah J. Maas' sexy, richly imagined series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Really enjoyable listen

It took a little bit of time to get used to a new narrator but once used to the new voices, was amazing. Highly recommend. 😊

Yay Nesta!

I am so pleased Nesta’s story was as good as I hoped. I really did feel for her. It was a good story, although the war aspect seemed very much a back story and the focus was all on Nesta… I was okay with that!

Brilliant story as always- but headphones needed!

I loved seeing Nesta’s story and her character progression. I could have done with half of the amount of explicit sex scenes though- which when cooking and playing these allowed had me running to turn it off. Having the first book so ‘tame’ in this, I suggested the series to so many people (my mum included) only to know go back to them with a warning on how graphic the series will progress to! I almost wish there was a cleaner version available that just cut the extremely graphic imagery out!

A perfect redemption arc for Nesta

I really enjoyed this story, Cassian is my favourite character from the original trilogy, and he and Nesta are perfect for each other, so I really enjoyed seeing them fall in love and heal each other. I'm excited for the next book!

narrator

don’t even get me started on how bad the narration is. it’s wayyyy to dramatic and breathy, like the readings of the smut scenes were ridiculous.

the accents given to some of the characters too didn’t fit the rest of the audiobooks too

also can here something hitting the mic or some sort of tapping in the background too a lot

A more darkest one yet

I found that thier was a lot of sex scenes and it was so detailed that I thought is this what the author gets up to lol. But I enjoyed the story and I detested Nesta and by the end I loved her and felt emotional in this story more than I have with any other book. I think the narrator while the voices are different she gives her all in the emotion especially in the angry moments, moments of willpower, and sadness. I really enjoyed Nesta's story and now I'm like I would like another Nesta than an Elaine but I'm sure I will grow to like that character to. anyway this is a very good story. and I look forward to the next and I absolutely love Nestas best friends.

Miss the previous narrator

Really struggled with this narrator. Every situation is read out in the same tone and the same voice is used for different characters so at times it’s hard to know who’s speaking. I ended up switching to the paperback halfway through. But great story as always!

I could not put this book down. I was uncertain that I would enjoy it as much as I did but the story was well thought out. the spicy scenes were spicy.

must read

A Court of Silver Flames took me on a rollercoaster of emotions that left me in tears multiple times. At first, I couldn't stand Nesta and her attitude, but as the story progressed, I found myself rooting for her and falling in love with her character. Maas does an incredible job of showing Nesta's growth and redemption, making this a must-read for fans of the series.
The book delves deep into the complex relationship between Nesta and Cassian, exploring their shared past and building a strong foundation for their future. The dynamic between the two characters is intense and passionate, filled with emotional upheaval and undeniable chemistry. As they navigate their feelings for each other, they also confront their inner demons and insecurities, which adds depth and complexity to their love story.
The introduction of the Valkyries adds an intriguing element to the plot, highlighting the importance of female empowerment and solidarity. These fierce warrior women bring a new perspective to the Court of Dreams and play a significant role in Nesta's journey of self-discovery and growth. Their presence enhances the overall narrative and adds layers of intrigue to the story.
Overall, A Court of Silver Flames is a captivating and emotional read that will leave you breathless and wanting more. With its rich character development, intense romance, and empowering themes, this book is a true gem in the ACOTAR series.
