A love story about second chances & forgiveness

This is a wonderful feel good story about two people who have been damaged by bad decisions made for the right decision. Kelly is an ex-convict and Tyler suffers from PTSD, courtesy of his time in Afghanistan. Both struggle with the day to day challenges of life in different ways.

Christmas is a magical time of the year. Kelly's little girl, Bree, with the help of a Christmas wish, brings these two struggling people together. But there is a long way to go before they can truly connect. Their way forward is through forgiveness, self-acceptance and unconditional support. There is a heavy emphasis on family, church and God in the story. But unlike many Christian based romances (where the emphasis is about one person, often extremely virtuous and religious, bringing the other to God and the Church) these two characters believe in God but are flawed, very human, very believable and very likable. Sometimes the inclusion of religion can leave the story very dry and a bit difficult to digest, but I didn't feel uncomfortable with the content at all.

Overall, the reader walks away with the feel-good feeling of hope and love. It is a positive story on very difficult subjects.
