About this listen

Reality TV meets murder in the first in a new mystery series from the author of the Maternal Instincts Mysteries and coauthor of the New York Times best-selling Scrapbooking Mysteries.

When brokenhearted Georgia Thornton goes looking for romance on reality TV, she has nothing to lose - apart from a good man, a cash prize, and maybe her life.... What was Georgia thinking? Sure, some cad ditched her at the altar, but can she really find love on TV? Her best friend - and producer of the reality show Love or Money - thinks so.

Ten men. Ten adventure-filled dates. What can go wrong? For starters, a faulty bungee cord that hurls Georgia's first date into a tragic spiral off the Golden Gate Bridge. He's replaced by Paul Sanders, Georgia's former fiancé. But the cop isn't looking for a TV gig. Suspecting that the lover's leap was no accident, Paul's going undercover. When another bachelor gets a fatal kiss-off, the reality is that someone has killer new plans for the show - and for Georgia herself. Now, under the threat of permanent cancellation, Georgia fears that the only man on the set she can trust is the one man she just can't count on....

A great book

I really enjoyed listening to this murder mystery book. It is my favourite mystery book since Clive Cussler's The Chase.

Meh

I have listened to other books of this author and while they are not the best of the best they are good enough for light listening. This book on the other hand is lukewarm. I found the narrations of the show scripts repetitive and the characters a bit flat; it doesn’t explain the motif of the killer for example.
Most of the story is picked up towards the end, making the beginning boring. Some of the story line feels force, for example the one around of the last victim, I won’t say anything to spoil thoug.

"My breath caught"

It was okay, I found the main character a little annoying in her obsessiveness over this one suspect. And there was a point in the book where "my breath caught" was used over and over again.

The story was cute though and I liked the narrator

I wanted to know the whole story

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this story at first but after a couple of chapters I wanted to keep listening, to see how the characters developed and how the story would progress.

Behind the camera of reality

I really enjoyed the book as I must admit I didn't think it would be great.
But I was proved wrong as I never guessed the "who dunnit"
Nice light-hearted story with 5* narration

Amazing!

It was a really cool story. I thought it was going to be a bit chessy or boring, but I was immediately hooked to it. I have to admit that I would have preferred a bigger explanation of the end and a bit more drama and depth to the character responsible for everything, but I liked it overall. It was fun to listen to.

entertaining

The story was very entertaining if a little obvious, and on occasion, a little mystifying! a little too much repetition of obvious facts but still enjoyable for all that!!
