Summary
Leave no scone unturned...
While the Pretty Jam Good kitchen is under renovation, Hadley is thrilled to be a judge in the annual Grande Bake Off. That all changes when the front-runner is murdered, and Hadley's friend Mickie becomes the main suspect.
Positive she can help clear her friend's name, Hadley begins sifting through the clues. Snow is on the ground, and fear is in the air.
What should've been a friendly competition has turned deadly. As tension rises in Stoneybrook, Hadley teams up with Luke to make sure this case is solved before the competition ends in another murder.

A flaky Alibi
You have to read the other books to get a better connection for the characters.
If you love cozy mysteries than you'll love this one too.

Nothing flaky about this plot line
I enjoyed this story but word of warning not a story to listen to if you are on a diet or are hungry because they story contains lots of sweet sounding treats and also includes recipes at the end of the book. Other than that it was good, a nice little mystery with lots of suspects and alibi's to keep you guessing. The characters are fun and the romance is sweetly blossoming. I hope there are more books to come in this series.
Hadley and Luke are both judges in the annual Grande bake off. Hadley is finding it hard not to be bias and favour her friend who is one of the contestants but that all changes when the baker that looks like he would win is killed. Did Hadley's friend really have a reason to kill the man? Or was it the last contestant who was eliminated ? Who also accused him of cheating? Or is it the only friends the man seems to have, his own employees? Or the actual host of the bake off who missed out on a job to the dead man? With all these motives Hadley and Luke still fear for there friend especially when they find out what the killer pie was made in and decide to help out the police by finding out the real killer.
I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job with all the different voices need to make this book a sweet cozy mystery.
