Widow and empty nester Ava Harper never dreamed of turning 40 without the love of her life. I had no idea what this book would be like but I was very pleasantly surprised. The story is unusual and takes all manner of twists across turns before resolving in a most unexpected way. Looking forward to the next books in the series

This is a great new series, FML is a women in here forties which makes a nice change. Ava Harper moves back to her home town to do up and sell her family home. While there she finds a dead body and reconnects with her witchy heritage. Great read off to read the next book.

Interesting story and nice start of a series

That cover isn't the best, at all. The story was fun, full of twits and turns, the fmc annoyed me no end. I really want to know what happens next, but am contemplating if I can put up with her and her half @ss excuses.... The other characters and the story line are really good. The mystery was interesting and, at one point everyone was a suspect.
The ending was interesting.
Really liked the narration.
