After being branded during the battle of Jericho, Moriyah has had no prospects for marriage - until now. Now the Israelites are experiencing peace in their new land, but Moriyah has yet to find her own peace. Because of the shameful mark on her face, she hides behind her veil at all times and the disdain of the townspeople keeps her from socializing. And marriage prospects were out of the question...until now.
Her father has found someone to marry her, and she hopes to use her love of cooking to impress the man and his motherless sons. But when things go horribly wrong, Moriyah is forced to flee. Good story but irritating narrator
Good story, but narrator had irritating voice and it was a bit of a struggle to keep listening despite the poor narration

insight into Biblical times
I enjoyed this story. gave deep insight to the times when the Hebrews first took the land of Cannan. the Laws of Moses lived out and the details of daily lives so detailed and interesting . I recommends book.

My absolute favourite book of all time !
I cannot believe I am only discovering Connilynns writings now, she has such a gifted way of descriptive writing that it felt like I was a silent character alongside the mains! I loved and adored every chapter and I'll be buying every book by this author. Wow, just wow. Thank you sister in Christ. May El Shaddai bless you and keep you. Much love all the way from Ireland!
