About this listen
Only one male can win.
Volunteering to duel alongside Liam against the ruthless Creek Alpha could get me killed but leaving my hot-headed Alpha to die alone in the dueling ring isn’t an option. Not even when he places ridiculous conditions on me, like not spending time alone with my intended mate.
I didn’t want a mate, but that was before August stepped back into my life, before he picked up the scattered pieces of my heart. Between our shared history and the magical tether that binds us, I find myself falling dangerously hard for the sexy shifter.
But Liam’s heart is on the line. A heart that still beats for me.
Only one male can win my love, the same way only one Alpha can rise from the duel.
Let the fight begin...

Oh that ending
Ok!
I am not a fan of love triangles and I definitely hate friends-to-lovers so I was really surprised I actually picked this series... well, not so surprised because when Olivia writes, I read. She is just one of those authors who I trust with my feelings. I know she will make me cry, angry at some characters but also understand them and empathize. She will give me a different perspective and even heal me to an extent (unberknown to her) More importantly, she will give me that HEA I so look for in my reads.
And what a happy ending it is! It still amazes me how I went to dislike the love triangle in book 1 to rooting for Liam and Ness at the beginning of book 2 to rooting for August and Ness!! I mean who would have thought that I would root for those two and just want to smack Liam so hard for not letting go 😂
Anyway, I am so happy Ness and August end up together more by choice than because of Fate

Perfect conclusion
I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review.
I so love August! I’m also in love with this series and basically anything Olivia Wildenstein has written that I’ve read so far, this totally doesn’t disappoint. An utterly perfect conclusion to a completely perfect series. Without giving too many much away I don’t know how to rave about this book without giving spoilers but lets just say I listened to it a few weeks ago, I’m late reviewing it (bad me!) and I’m still thinking about it even now! How many books or authors can you really say that about?

What an excellent audiobook this was!🎧👏 The narrator made such great choices throughout!⭐️
Liam, the Alpha of the Boulder pack really didn't show himself in a good light throughout most of this series. He waits until almost the end to redeem himself.🙈
Ness drove me nuts in this book imparticular. Her immaturity was very frustrating to me.😤 I felt like she kept putting Liam first, which I found so unfair, I was so relieved when she finally threw caution to the wind! Thankfully, August was SO patient with her fibs, her insecurities, and running!🙄 He was such an amazing 'Mate' for her.😍
The buildup to the Alpha battle was gripping. I liked Lucas' growth a lot.😁 This book was so good.👏⭐️

Perfect Ending!
A Pack of Love and Hate begins exactly where we left our characters with Ness trying to save Liam's life by becoming his second. Despite everything that happened in A Pack of Vows and Tears, Liam is still the hot-headed possessive alpha male we love but after he tries to drive a wedge between Ness and August I found myself not liking him. He does redeem himself for the things he did in the previous book and has his own issues to deal with. One of which is quite a surprise to him that in true Liam fashion he doesn't deal very well with.
Ness is everything! She cares so much for others always putting them first above her self and her own needs even when they don't deserve it and there are things Liam does that makes me feel like this. I loved getting to see Ness bond more with her uncle Jeb was so adorable. If you thought that the love triangle would be finished with between Ness, August and Liam you would be wrong as it only gets worse. Ness's caring nature really burns her as she listens to the views of others despite listening to herself which had me slightly annoyed with her.
August Watt, I wish you were real because you are just the most perfect man anyone could ever want! My heart broke on multiple accounts at certain scenes but he really is the one for Ness. Ness really puts him through stuff as she tries to come to terms with having a mate. He's kind, caring, crazily jealous patient and just as stubborn as his fated mate making him perfect for her. He's known Ness since she was a little girl and has loved her far longer than she loved him which really shows.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book! The amazing characters, the storyline, the humour the action and that ending was just perfect. I couldn't rate this amazing series any higher, Truly amazing! Will August get the girl her desires in the end? Will Liam survive the fight to save the packs? Will Ness and August end up together? If you want to know the answers to these questions then read this book to find out!

Good story
I enjoy a good love triangle but when it lasts for several books it can get annoying. The author did a good job trying not to overdue it, but I wish there was less of it. I still really liked the story and narration and it came to a good conclusion with answering the questions you have from book 1.
