About this listen
My dog grooming business has picked up big time, thanks in part to my role in solving a local murder. Now, I’ve got more dogs than I can handle—and a fresh case to solve. Who needs time for a personal life, am I right?
Unfortunately, it seems like everyone had a bone to pick with Joey Atkins, local dog breeder and recent murder victim. Yup, his list of disgruntled clients is more than I can shake a stick at, including a good friend of mine who just might be the prime suspect.
It’s enough to make me barking mad, especially when the situation turns ruff. Can I sniff out the killer, or will this case have me running away with my tail between my legs?

When a good client turns to Leslie for help in collecting a puppy from a breeder who isn't returning her calls Leslie has no choice but to help. Instead of coming away with a new puppy they find a murder to solve. The breeder is somebody Leslie knew well as he was best friends with her ex husband, a man who he also promised a puppy to for his new girl friend. With so many people conned by the man with his many schemes at making money the suspect list is long and also includes a number of people Leslie knows. Can she find the real killer? And the right motive behind the death or will her attraction to the lead detective and her ex husband turning up everywhere she goes get in the way?
I liked the narrator. I have heard a number of books narrated by her and she always puts in a good performance.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
