Some stories better than others, but overall a very authentic feel to these further exploits of Sherlock Holmes…

While the writing is fine the actual detective work is poor. Sherlock has always stretched the limits however these stories either have no real deductive work or are the extreme. knowing someone went to Buckingham Palace because of a scuff on a shoe becayse the sixth step to the only entrance to a massive place is slightly higher than the others and so often results in a scuffed shoe is just stupid. Or Sherlock just takes a guess and gets lucky. Not good detective stories.

poor mysteries
