Summary
Death is the last lover you will ever know.
SOA Special Agent Patrick Collins has lived a life full of lies, and it has finally caught up with him. There’s no denying his past any longer, not after giving up the truth to save himself from a murder charge. But truth alone can’t set Patrick free, and time is running out to stop the Dominion Sect from turning his father into a god.
Jonothon de Vere knows survival isn’t a guarantee, but he’s desperate to keep Patrick safe, even as hope slips through his fingers. With the future unknown, Jono will follow Patrick wherever he goes, even to Salem, where a family reunion reveals a bitter secret that was never going to stay buried.
With New York City under control of their god pack, Patrick and Jono must fall back on every alliance they’ve brokered to fill the front lines of a war coming directly to the city streets. The veil is always thinnest on Samhain, and what awaits them on the other side is the stuff of nightmares. For when it tears, all hell will break loose, and the gods will be summoned to face a reckoning the world isn’t ready for.
The stakes have never been higher, failure has never been so deadly, and the Fates have never been kind to heroes. Patrick knows that better than anyone - because everything has a price, every debt always comes due, and it’s finally time for Patrick to pay his.

Amazing story and brilliant narration
This is the conclusion to this brilliant series and I'm sad to see them go even though I'm also very very happy to see Patrick and Jono finally get the life they want on their own terms. Hailey Turner brought out all the stops and nothing was off limits as she wrapped up this amazing series.
The narrator did a brilliant job at bringing this story to life. The emotions were spot on, the voices were excellent and in a book with so many people it could have been easy to get lost amongst the sea of voices but that doesn't happen. The narrator has an amazing range and I could easily tell who was who.

Just perfect
This is the epic ending of the rollercoaster ride that has been the soulbound series. Hailey did an amazing job and Gary brought everything to life. I laughed and cried and by soul felt so light. A perfect ending to this epic. Thank you.

Epic!!!
5+++++ Epic Stars!!!
It's been a little over 3 years since I read A Ferry of Bones & Gold and through all these years and the 6 books that followed, this has consistently been my favorite series. Frankly, after I finished listening to A Veiled & Hallowed Eve on Sunday night I don't know what to do with myself.
I loved it all! Patrick being his self-sacrificing, stupid self, LOL—I love him but he really likes to make things difficult for himself and Jono. Jono always being there for Patrick, so supportive and devoted. Wade, who provided some much-needed levity—the God of Snacks scene had me chuckling and it was so perfect for him! He's amazing and I loved how much he's grown since Patrick, Jono and Sage became his pack/family. And Sage, OMG, I nearly had a heart attack!
Hailey Turner somehow keeps surprising me with how talented she is. A Veiled and Hallowed Eve was perfect! Angsty, heart-wrenching, fun, sweet, hot, with tons of heart-pounding, fast-paced, detailed action scenes that I could see happening as I listened to the audiobook.
Gary Furlong was amazing as well, especially considering how many characters there were in this book/series. He made the experience even better for me and that's saying something, since this is my favorite series ever!
I can't recommend this book and series more if I tried. If you haven't started it yet, do yourself a favor and binge-read, or better yet, listen to it. You won't regret it!

Absolutely Fantastic Finish
WOW! This was the best conclusion to a series and HEA I have read in a long time. I won't same anything about plot, characters, etc. because if you 've read any of the books in this series (and you must, because you need all that background to fully comprehend this one) you know the characters are wonderfully complex and intense, and the world(s)-building is intricate and comprehensive. I loved the final battle and getting to see old friends and enemies (and some new ones) come together in the final clash either for or against Ethan. Twists, turns, pain, struggle, love and peace...it's all here. The finale for the characters we have followed and loved is perfect, including the final passage of Hannah. I love all the gods and mythologies the author mingles in her story...Greek, Norse, Hawaiian, and more. And I'll miss Wade. Even though he has grown and matured since they rescued him, he is still a fledging whelp, and a continuous source of humor. (#Poptarts forever!) Overall wonderful and entertaining story. If you are new to the series, go back and start at the beginning, and enjoy the epic journey.
The narration is incredible. I am so impressed by the way Gary manages to deliver all those complex god names. The pronunciation could be completely wrong (I'm not a scholar, so I wouldn't know), but they flow seamlessly and consistently off his tongue. That alone is impressive, but his tone and pacing for the story are perfect, too.
I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

A Veiled & Hallowed Eve
Great ending to a great series! Everything was settled nicely, and I have no lingering, tortured questions. The narration was good - the character's voices have become the narrator's. Overall great listen.

Epic - spoiler free review
Wow! Seven books and now it's over. I have a book hangover like no other.
This review will be vague because I won't give away anything for readers who have yet to start the series.
This (as my headline states) was epic. A roller coaster of emotion and action that didn't stop from start to finish.
Don't worry, Patrick and Jono get their HEA, eventually. Have faith.
And the narrator, well he was excellent.
Gosh, it's over. What will I do? A listen with no gaps sounds like an excellent plan. When I've recovered a tad.

Epic conclusion to the series
This was a series that had me hooked from the very start and it was bittersweet to get to the conclusion of it - because I really wanted to stay with the characters for longer. The whole series has been building and building, keeping us on tenterhooks until we reached this, the epic conclusion of the series. My emotions were all over the place! No spoilers here, because if you’ve made it to the end of the series I know you don’t want them, you just want to know does it live up to the rest of the series. And the answer is yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Gary Furlong’s narration of the series is perfect. He clearly distinguishes all the characters without them sounding like caricatures. He took the amazing books written by Hailey Turner and brings them even more to life.
