2.75 STARS ★★✬✩✩

This book is for you if… you’ve enjoyed the series. Sci-Fi x YA enthusiasts might like this. The series, instead of picking up throughout its curse, got a bit worse with every book.

⤐ Overall.
You know those audiobooks where you don't see the need to go back when you didn't pay attention for a while? Yeah, this was one of 'em.

I have, by all means, nothing to say about this book. Everything I’ve criticised has been criticised in my reviews for Configured and Immersed .

I’m just so meh about this book - and now the series as a whole - I’m not even in the mood nor could I possibly muster the energy to rant about this. That’s how mediocre this was. The entire series lost some of its glow with this final instalment if I’m being honest. It must come as a shock to those who’ve read other reviews. I’m shocked, too. But tastes vary and that’s okay. Just don’t @ me because I’m not glorifying Actualized.

A brilliant end to this trilogy

This has been a really good series. The narrator is great at putting expression in her voice and where I'm not normally keen on female narrators doing male voices. This narrator Brittany Goodwin does mens voices really well. Set in a dystopian future where humans aren't allowed to feel. Babies are given away to higher level families and humans in level 1 are thought as lesser humans. A technology based war is happening. Avalyn and her twin brother Ben are the only hope for peace. A brilliant series from Jenetta Penner and definitely worth a listen.
I revived a copy of this book from the author and this review is my own opinions.

Eventful

There has been a bit of a gap between my listening to this and the first 2 books in the series, so I was grateful for the 'breadcrumbs' left by the author for those like me who needed a reminder for what had happened so far.

I liked the conclusion, but found it difficult to get my head around what was going on in the 'final battle' - I would have liked more details about what Eylure had turned into post event, too
