About this listen
Trapped in an abandoned and quarantined Britain, forsaken by the rest of the world, the scattered survivors are forced into hibernation by the fast onset of a bitter winter.
Struggling for supplies and battling the elements, the true nature of people shows through as they face adversity like they have never known before. Nevin, as charmed and untouchable as his toxic existence has been, finds a niche in his new home; still not enough for him, though, as he plans to become more comfortable at the expense of others. But is tangling with Johnson a confrontation he can come back from?
Peter and Amber are still fending for themselves and digging in for the harsh winter. But will that be enough to keep them safe? Major Downes confides in Captain Palmer, and together they plan for escape to normality and to structure a new lifestyle for their charges. But in the uncertain world they live in now, nothing is easy.

May the 4th be with you
This is the 4th book in the Toy Soldiers series, and doesn't fail to impress.
A brilliant story, well thought out and put together. excellently narrated and at a good easy to follow pace.
A few small factual niggles, but that can be written off to artistic licence, and me being overly pedantic.
looking forward to the 5th and final instalment.
well done DCF

Betterer and betterrer
John lee gives another shining performance of Fords excellent zombie series. So far I’ve fallen in love with every character, even the baddies. so well written with a flow that had me in a rollercoaster of emotions. Devon c Ford has done it again!

Glad there’s no more
Good book but started to loose interest by the time I got to book 4 I preferred the storyline about the young boy to be honest. Good series I enjoyed them all but glad there wasn’t any more or I’d have lost interest all together.

Just brilliant
Another great instalment in this 80's themed zompoc - these characters are so well written, their stories weave a story that you can help being immersed in - highly recommend, and John Lee does an excellent narration from the youngest characters, the hardened army soldiers and the top officers born with spoons in their mouths
