I love this novel, and the.different.ways in which.we are encouraged to.consider marriage, friendship, and family relationships. Very character.driven. Also very much enjoyed the interview at the end.

Thoroughly enjoyed TJR’s book The Seven Husbands so gave this a go. Found the main character incredibly annoying and the subject matter tedious, I really didn’t care what happened. Gave up half way through. Narrator was excellent as always but the story was not for me.

Lauren and Ryan are a couple that everyone can relate too - not just married couples and not even just romantic couples but friendship couples too.

Lauren and Ryan have realised that they aren't happy in their marriage and decide to go on a year-long break from one another. The story follows predominantly Lauren's experiences during this break, however I liked how we got a snippet into Ryan's experience later in the story.

It is an easy listen and does make you think about what we all expect from relationships, how honest we are in them and ultimately how realistic an expectation we have.

I cannot stress this enough I think is one of my favourite books???? I have never EVER felt anything as strong in response to a book!! It is incredible and atypical and brilliant - I would recommend wholeheartedly

Taylor Reid is such a fabulous author and only two of her books now left for me to read. Julia Whelan beautifully delivers.
I dont go for romantic books but this book was so in depth, just delightful, found myself wanting to laugh and cry - the characters were amazing - wish there were more books of hers - will be sad when have listened to all of them.
