About this listen
Imagine how different your life would be if you truly knew how to master your emotions and rid yourself of the feelings of anger and rage.
Almost every person will suffer some form of anger management issues at some stage in their life; it's unavoidable, whether it's an overt form of rage or more subtle forms of frustration. It's much more prevalent than you think. But most people aren't equipped with the right mental tools to identify the underlying reasons for their problems, or spot the triggers which set them off.
Katherine Chambers is an ex-Stanford psychologist who specializes in psychotherapy subjects and all things neuroscientific. However, it wasn't until she left college life and entered the "real world" that she started to understand these theoretical topics in a practical sense. Over the past 15 years she has built a multi-six-figure consulting business and a family of her own.
In this insightful and functional book, Chambers gives listeners a firsthand look into the scientific subjects she studied within academia as well as a practical real-life guide on how to:
- Spot the actual causes of your anger
- Identify the common effects of these factors
- Take responsibility for your own emotions
- Shift your perceptions about your rage
- Perform the "thought pattern interrupt" exercise to disrupt negative thinking
- Adopt conflict resolution techniques to aid with internal anguish as well as relationships
- Identify the upsides to anger (it's not all bad)
...and much more.
This audiobook is a mixture of theoretical principles combined with real-life practical advice on how to spot and control anger issues. The introspective emotional assessment techniques along with the external observation tools will help alleviate your frustrations for a more ultimately harmonious life.

Our therapist is actually listening it now since we told him about it, and loves it. So our therapist approves! Its a good book if the man receiving it is willing to complete the work not just listen through it. Self reflection is the most important part.

Appreciable audible
This is a practical book on anger management. The exercises were properly balanced. I only wish there were follow up services or online group meetings to help with putting some of the material into practice.

Worthy listen
I like the modern approach to dealing with anger management issues. I recommend this book to men who struggle with anger that may stem from low self worth.

Highly recommend this book
I definitely recommend this book to men or women especially if you feel like your anger is out of control. This book will make you think outside the box, how not to place blame on others for your anger, how to repair some of the damage you may have done in your relationships before it gets too bad. It will help you to have a more positive outlook on things.
