Summary

Based on the epic videogame from BioWare and LucasArts.

The Sith Empire is in flux. The Emperor is missing, presumed dead, and an ambitious Sith lord’s attempt to seize the throne has ended fatally. Still, Darth Karrid, commander of the fearsome Imperial battle cruiser Ascendant Spear, continues her relentless efforts to achieve total Sith domination of the galaxy.

But Karrid’s ruthless determination is more than matched in the steely resolve of Theron Shan, whose unfinished business with the Empire could change the course of the war for good. Though the son of a Jedi master, Theron does not wield the Force - but like his renowned mother, the spirit of rebellion is in his blood. As a top covert agent for the Republic, he struck a crucial blow against the Empire by exposing and destroying a Sith superweapon arsenal - which makes him the ideal operative for a daring and dangerous mission to end Ascendant Spear’s reign of terror.

Joined by hot-headed smuggler Teff’ith, with whom he has an inexplicable bond, and wise Jedi warrior Gnost-Dural, Darth Karrid’s former master, Theron must match wits and weapons with a battle-tested crew of the most cold-blooded dark-side disciples. But time is brutally short. And if they don’t seize their one chance to succeed, they will surely have countless opportunities to die.

Best of the series.

This series as a whole is probably one of the best on audible. Not even so much of the story itself but because of how it's presented to the listener with a narrator that can do a wide range of voices for the characters as well as sounds being dubbed in to immerse you into what's happening as well as helping you build a picture of the scenes with little description.

The story itself is also great with some nice little twists and turns with a action sequences well described. It also continues the Inquisitor story from the game with the Ascendant Spear as well as its workings which weren't worked on in game.

Enjoyed Revan. Enjoyed this too!

I love these books and this comes from someone who doesn't read or even listen to books very often at all.

Great writing. Great narrator. Love this duo. Their other book, Revan, introduced me to audio books and was so good, I came back for another.

They always leave me wanting more by the end but theyre a great listen. Thanks for keeping me company on my long walks to and from work. I appreciate it.

AND,....Yet Again ANOTHER Great Star Wars Saga !!!

WOW !!!,...............
This was yet another great Star Wars audio book !!! That is All from "The Old Republic" series !! And a great way to end, with Spy's, Jedi Knights, Sith Lords, & a HUGE Space battle, with the Republic's fate yet again hanging in the balance !!!
As ALWAYS Mark Thompson, brings a wealth of brilliance to the characters, with well defined voices for all the different people in the story, sometimes making it seem more like a "Full Cast" audio, rather than x1 person narrating !!!
I think it's fair to say that I am a MASSIVE fan of the Star Wars Universe !!!
Between Audible & the 108 Audio books / drama's that I own, means that I have pretty much EVERY "Audio" version of the Star Wars Saga !!!
AND, I'm in the process (*With the help of "Wookiepedia's" (A Star Wars Wikipedia !!), knowledge base) of listening to the COMPLETE Series in chronological order !!!!!!
That is 150+ audio books & "Full cast" drama's !!! And I'm about 5 books in !!!!! So a way to go yet, but I am determined that I'm going for it regardless !!!
This series (*"The Old Republic") is a MUST for any & ALL Star Wars fans !!!

Who needs the cinema?

Classic Force goodness, light sabre stances, espionage, family moments, cool characters, nova sound effects and a preem finish. 😁
