The empire they constructed over the course of some 1,200 years survived constant attacks, a few defeats, and the famed Dark Age, known as the Bronze Age collapse, to become one of the largest and most expansive empires the world has ever seen.

Very Nice
This book is a pretty good overall look at the Assyrians. It is not extremely detailed but is a good reference book and not a bad book.

Boring trying to be exiting
Just telling something is exciting in an exciting voice doesn't make it exciting. The tale of the sumerian epoch IS indeed exciting, but not in this version.
