Interesting listen
I was given a copy of this audio book, in return for an honest review. This book is very different to the genre that I would usually listen to and I began it not really knowing what to expect. The tale begins but then goes back 14 years. It is set over 300 years ago. The author has obviously researched the time period well and the detail included in the book really brought the story to life. It was interesting to listen to a story of a period in time that I knew very little about. What was apparent in the story was that even though times may have changed dramatically (thank goodness!), human nature has changed very little from then until now. The narrator I felt was a little slow but I sped it up a bit which was fine. Thank you for the opportunity to listen!
